A charming French country scene through a stone wall window. The intricate detail in the foreground are two lovely pigeons sitting on a tree branch. The picture is in relief so does not lie flat on the surface.
It has the artist name Etains du Prince (The Pewter of Princes in English) signed on the bottom right of the picture and on the pewter section. Etains du Prince are still making pewter collectables today and their pieces are very desirable for lovers of pewter art. This particular work is not in their current catalogue.
The piece has been mounted onto a slubby cream coloured fabric and framed in a gold trim wooden frame. There is a triangular hook on the back ready to hang.
A very interesting pewter wall hanging with lots of detail, produced by an experienced artist. Great for lovers of French pewter.
Condition | The front is in very good vintage conditionn, except a minor scratch to the wooden frame as seen in photo; the back has a little wear from where it has sat against a wall.
